Maharaja 2 is officially in development, with Nithilan Saminathan returning as the director. Vijay Sethupathi has praised the sequels story and said he is excited to work with the filmmaker again.
The remake announcement comes amid speculation that Matthew McConaughey could take on the role originally played by Vijay Sethupathi.
